Hello, I'm Photograher Derrick Hudson and welcome to my gallery of images.

I am a freelance photographer based out of Fredericksburg, Va. Although I have taken images for many years, I have only been seriously doing photography for the past 3 years. Photography is currently a hobby that I use just to give me a piece of mind. I am an artist at heart but now I use a camera to create my vision. I have been fortunate enough to land a few publications and I also had the priveledge to do a product shoot for a friend that had countless features on many different online magazines.

Although photography is a hobby for me, it has allowed me the opportunity to meet some very interesting people with interesting stories along the way. Some stories of laughter and of dreams, some of accomplishments and some stories that are touching. With every person I meet and work with I keep a high level of professionalism. Currently I am mainly local, freelancing in Fredericksburg, Va. Currently I'm interested in only doing theme type of photoshoots but will occasionally venture into other things if it is beneficial to myself. 

 

I have had no formal training in photography. I take an artistic approach to every shoot that I do. I believe that every artist, no matter what forum they use are entitled to their interpretation of what they consider art is.
